CINEMA | DRAMA

Mathyas swaps his life as a young advertising executive in Montreal to become a shepherd in Provence. However, the harsh reality of the pastoral world forces him to question his romantic idea of this profession. The visit of Élise, a civil servant who has quit her job on the spur of the moment, gives Mathyas' search a new direction. Together they embark on a journey with a flock of sheep under their sole responsibility. Having grown through the encounters and passed tests in the mountains, they create a new life for themselves.

The film is inspired by the novel D'où viens-tu, berger ? (Where do you come from, shepherd?) by Mathyas Lefebure and won the Best Canadian Film Award at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival.
