We are dedicating the Book Council, which takes place one day after World Day for Biological Diversity, to books on this very topic: biodiversity.

Diversity instead of simplicity

The Book Council in May is part of www.festivaldernatur This starts on 22 May 2024 - World Biodiversity Day - and takes place throughout Switzerland until 26 May.

"Switzerland is famous for its unique natural landscapes. These diverse habitats are the basis for our well-being. Most habitats, however, are severely impaired and their quality is declining."

The aim of the series of events: "To bring the inhabitants of Switzerland into nature and to raise awareness and appreciation for biodiversity issues." And we would like to join this goal with our book advice and look forward to an exciting, diverse and unique evening.

The "Book Council" concept

The date is set by the moon, the theme of the Buachlada Kunfermann and the books of our clientele - this is our book advice! 

Again and again at full moon, customers we ask (the book councillors) present their favourite books and share their enthusiasm for regional and international, well-known and unknown reading pearls from all corners, genres and sides of the book world.

In this way, we can discover a different genre and topics of the book world every third month and introduce the book councillors to new reading pleasure for many different areas of interest.
