Film | The highest weather station in Europe opened on the Säntis in 1882. Its construction and initial operation would not have been possible without the locals, who carried what was needed up the mountain - and sometimes paid for it with their lives. But the existence of the weather station stationed on the Säntis was also grueling due to the uncomfortable weather conditions and often oppressive loneliness. The gloomy climax to the story of the Säntis weather station is the murder of the weather warden couple in February 1922.

A shuttle bus (CHF 5.-) runs on reservation from Disentis, Salaplauna via Curaglia to Stagias and back.
Departure from Disentis at 18:00.
Departure from Stagias at 18:30 and after the movie.
Access with your own car is only permitted with a permit. Can be purchased in Mutschnengia via Twint.
