Cinema: "Tamina - When was it always like that" in Ilanz

The Tamina Valley in Heidiland has always been known for its wolf sightings. A city dweller weary of civilization goes in search of them and wanders expectantly through the forests. But tracking down a wolf is more difficult than hoped: in nature, it mainly encounters humans. "Tamina – When was it always like this?" curiously explores the habitat shared by wolves and humans, and asks questions about our relationship to nature with relish and open-heartedness.

Like on a hike, we are guided step by step through the overwhelming scenery of the Calanda region in the new documentary by Beat Oswald ("Golden Age"). In the process, the search for wolves develops more and more into a poetic reflection on the place of humans in the world.
