Tridan Lagache (Dany Boon) has never seen the world outside of the Mexican holiday club "Club Med". His parents met at the club, he spent his whole life there and, when he was old enough, became an entertainer himself. From an early age, this also meant that Tridan changed his friends about every 8 days, but one young vacationer in particular stuck in his mind. At the age of eight, he met his great childhood sweetheart, the Frenchwoman Violette, for whom now, 42 years later, he leaves the holiday club for the first time to track her down.
