Dem Wasser nach - Pflanzenvielfalt am unteren Segnesboden

An easy path takes us from the Nagens Sura mountain station up to the Grauberg. From there we descend on a mountain hiking trail to the rearmost part of the Segensebene - a quiet, impressive moorland landscape of national importance. Important, the descent requires surefootedness. On the way we encounter very special habitats: spring meadows, damp limestone scree fields and a protected fen, which surprises with its plant diversity. At the very back, we cross a limestone scree meadow formed by a stream, where rare specialists among the alpine plants grow. The way back leads with new impressions past lush mountain meadows and again past the fenland - a quiet nature experience that touches. On the way we eat from the backpack. The special feature: We hike in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Sardona. The traces of the earth's history - of rock layers over 250 million years old - lie right before our eyes. Perfect for those who want to enjoy nature, tranquility and a touch of botanical and geological wonders.
