Demenga Festival "Intertwining between popular music and classical music"

The theme of the seventh edition "Intertwining between popular music and classical music", will explore the link between two aspects of music that have similarities and are related. Both genders have their roots in the history and culture of a particular region. A unique event that celebrates the culture of a peripheral valley, transforming it into a stage for musicians from all over the world.

The program includes an opening concert with the Chamber Orchestra of the Canton of Graubünden accompanied by Patrick and Thomas Demenga, a closing concert with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana with soloists Matthias Würsch and Pedro Mateo Gonzales; two chamber music concertos for piano and two chamber music concerts for strings and winds. Then two events will take place in the evocative setting of the Arvigo quarry: the first with a folk music group of the Valais Alpine tradition, directed by Heinz Holliger, and the other with a world-famous flamenco dancer, as well as the unmissable Duo Kopatchinskaja.
