Design on the Rhine: Live Presentation Insight into Colors in Ilanz

Stones contain a cosmos of colours that will only reveal them at second glance.
The great variety of stone pigment colours has been created by the special geological conditions in the Surselva over millions of years.

Stone pigments from the Surselva are a source and inspiration for a regional building culture. The use of colours from the region creates a building culture with a noticeable connection to the landscape. How are paints made from stone pigments and which paints are suitable for construction applications? Lucrezia Zanetti, colour architect and Christian Aubry, stone sculptor, will give an insight into the production of colours from the stone pigments and their use.
As part of the project "from stone to textile", which will be launched during "Design am Rhein 2025", Lucrezia Zanetti and Eva Brunner will present colour pigments from the Vorderrhein and their process and adaptation to various materials at 3.00 pm.
