Discover the fascinating history and culture of Val Müstair at our special Museum Day on Saturday, August 2, 2025!
From 3 to 8 pm, six impressive museums and cultural sites in the valley will open their doors - including the UNESCO World Heritage Site St. Johann Monastery in Müstair, the Chasa Jaura in Valchava, the Muglin Mall, Museum 14/18 and the Tessanda hand weaving mill in Santa Maria.
The day is co-organized by artist Pascal Lampert from Santa Maria.

With our attractive single ticket for only CHF 20 (adults) or CHF 5 (children and young people aged 6 to 18) you can explore all participating museums and offers in a fun and experience-oriented way. Children up to 6 years have free admission.
A shuttle bus that runs between the cultural sites, supplemented by the PostBus and numerous hiking trails that you can explore on foot or by bike, ensures a comfortable journey. For puzzle enthusiasts and explorers, there is an object waiting to be found and guessed in every cultural institution.
Look forward to a varied program for locals and tourists, for young and old:
- Guided tours of the Tessanda hand weaving mill at 3 and 4 p.m.
- Open mill café in the Muglin Mall
- An unforgettable evening concert with Stephan Britt at the lime kiln in Valchava at 7 pm
- Afterwards, a convivial barbecue evening invites you to linger
- There will also be an exciting competition with great prizes to make your day even more unforgettable
