Mozart's Fantasy in C minor is a work full of drama and harmonic audacity that points far beyond its time. Arnold Schoenberg's Six Little Piano Pieces, op. 19 mark a radical change: in minimal form, they unfold maximum expressiveness, from floating tenderness to agitated condensation. Chopin's Scherzo No. 1 in B minor, dramatic and rich in contrast, is juxtaposed with Nocturne in E flat major, which captivates with its vocal melody and delicate ornamentation. The Polonaise Fantaisie in A flat major, on the other hand, is a complex fusion of fantasy and national pride. Brahms' Sonata No. 3 in F minor combines youthful passion with deep expression.
