Kathrin Severin shows works from two different groups of works in the Kulturbox in Klosters. The white objects focus on the shape - the color is secondary. The coloured glass sculptures, on the other hand, live from light, colour and reflection and from the geometric form, which can be combined in many ways.

In the summer of 2022, Kathrin Severin lived in Klosters as Artist in Residence. She was out and about with the sketchbook, in the village and in nature. She also drew during Klosters Music's concerts in 2022 and 2023, creating vivid graphic documentations.

Educated at the Zurich School of Arts and Crafts, now ZHDK. First fashion designer and illustrator and graphic designer for various media in Switzerland and abroad. The company's own painting school and the organization of painting and cultural trips were ideal for combining art and bread-and-butter work. For many years, Kathrin Severin lived and worked in Davos, where, thanks to her painting school, many locals and guests discovered their love for creativity and art.

For Kathrin Severin, the drawing is in the foreground, it defines and structures relationships. Kathrin Severin works with a wide variety of materials. Often, color is subordinated to the line - or light and color take precedence. The three-dimensional works are made of PP ropes, wood, glass and reflections. Connections, reflections and networks are recurring themes in Kathrin Severin's work. The search for connections, the desire to understand and comprehend life and the world is central.

For Kathrin Severin, forays through the world are becoming increasingly important, sketching and drawing, curiously searching for and grasping everything. The numerous sketchbooks document their travels. They are a way to capture time, capture moments, and preserve memories.
