Fascinating Rhine Gorge, Flims landslide and blooming orchids

Be it the spectacular Rhine Gorge or the Flims Fairytale Forest: the largest landslide in the Alps still shapes the landscape today and has led to great biodiversity. Let yourself be enchanted by the originality and diversity of this nature. Say "hello" to the blooming lady's slipper and learn "everything" about the Flims landslide and the formation of the Rhine Gorge.

I am fascinated by this unique landscape and its history. Are you coming along on an exploration tour? Our hike starts at the bottom of the gorge at the "Versam-Safien" railway station. We hike along the Rhine for a while before it goes steeply uphill to the Grosswald of Flims. As a last highlight, we pass the turquoise-green Caumasee. Where does it get its color from?

The pure hiking time is about 3 hours. It is an easy hike of difficulty T2.

Prerequisite: Condition for 3.5 hiking (550 meters uphill, 90 meters downhill, 8.3km). surefootedness.

Meeting point: At 09.17 a.m. stop Rhaetian Railway "Versam-Safien"
End: Between 3 and 4 p.m. in Flims Waldhaus

Equipment: Hiking equipment with backpack, drink + food for the road, hiking boots, rain and sun protection, possibly hiking poles.

Costs: CHF 100.– for organisation/hiking guide/knowledge transfer by Claudia Müller, hiking guide with a federal. Certificate + GeoGuide Sardona
