Festival da Jazz: Christian Sands

Jazz history is full of rousing songs and ballads dealing with the topic of failed love. Among the vast collection of jazz records, there are even several album-length explorations of melancholy that have achieved classic status. Christian Sands' fifth album can be considered a significant contribution to this sphere. Sands' album is nothing less than a cinematic narrative about the stages of grief, created by one of jazz's finest young composers. Sad, beautiful, and incredibly uplifting.
