Founded in 2024 from an idea of two friends, the quintet's identity reflects the musical influences that have shaped the two founders over the years. They are inspired above all by the hard bop greats of the 1960s and the unforgettable years of the Blue Note label. Their aim is to authentically reproduce the characteristic sound of the classic quintet formations with tenor saxophone and trumpet of that time - and to develop this sound further from there.

There's no doubt about it: these three are among the most exciting names in Indonesia's current jazz scene. Together they combine a deep respect for the jazz tradition with a modern, forward-looking approach - their dynamic playing inspires with fresh, lively energy. The joy they radiate on stage is infectious and infectious. Jazz goes Asia and comes to St. Moritz - not to be missed!!!

To make the NEW GENERATION #JAZZLAB evening even more exciting and compact, both the mentors and the two winning bands will perform on the same evening. The great mentor band consists of the three-time Grammy-nominated and internationally renowned singer Roberta Gambarini, the “usual suspect” and dazzling Aaron Goldberg on piano, Dario Deidda, probably the only bassist who can actually swing on the electric bass, and Gregory Hutchinson - “the drummer of his generation” - also an old acquaintance at the Festival da Jazz. They will heat things up before clearing the stage for the two bands that they have been coaching intensively for five days.
