Guided hike: miners and church painters in Rueun

Accompanied by a cultural guide, we walk in the footsteps of ore miners and visit the mining tunnels of Minas da Gulatsch. After this excursion, which engages all our senses, we continue hiking and cross the Schmuér, which later flows into the Anterior Rhine. Some of the rocks from the exhibition Schichtwechsel-La Surselva are at home here. Through the meadows and pastures of Andiast we reach Curt-ginet and the village of Waltensburg/Vuorz. A visit to the church with the frescoes of the Waltensburg master transports us to the medieval culture. On the descent to the Waltensburg station, we reach the Verrucano trough, known for the Glarus main thrust in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona.
