The spirited Heidi lives with her grumpy grandfather Alpöhi in a secluded mountain hut in the Swiss Alps. Heidi is on vacation and wants nothing more than to visit her friend Clara on the Baltic Sea during the holidays. But the discovery of a lonely and injured lynx kitten changes their plans: The lynx cub urgently needs to return to the mountains to his family! Unbeknownst to her grandfather, Heidi lovingly takes care of her new little friend. If only it weren't for the greedy businessman Schnaittinger, who wants to build a large sawmill in the beautiful mountain landscape and has set traps for the lynxes. Now it's up to Heidi and her best friend Geissenpeter to save not only the cute lynx cub and his family, but also the village community and the local nature they love so much.
