Konzert von Lisa Stoll und Fabienne Romer in Trun

A beautiful summer evening and the round sound of an alphorn - it couldn't get any more beautiful. Or as Johannes Brahms puts it with the telling words and the indescribably beautiful music: so blus das Alphorn heut! It is precisely this mood that the well-known alphorn soloist Lisa Stoll and Fabienne Römer revive. A moment for great homely feelings to hold onto. The program includes compositions for alphorn and organ, piano and voice, old well-known melodies and also completely new pieces that have been composed especially for Lisa and Fabienne.

The two musicians met in autumn 2020 at a joint concert in the Zurich Oberland. It was such a good fit from the beginning that they have been on the road together regularly ever since. In recent years, they have repeatedly made small tours through Switzerland and played in beautiful churches or concert halls, such as the Tonhalle Zurich, but also in other special places such as the Ogna sculpture in Trun or in the rock tunnel of Castels Fortress.

The interplay of alphorn and organ is a wonderful tonal experience. While the alphorn plays with round, pithy and almost sung tones, the organ shines with lively ornamentation and harmonious accompaniment. It can create a poignant volume or create a very fine atmosphere. In the organ, each note has its own pipe. It is exactly the opposite with the alphorn as a natural instrument. Here, all notes come out of a single pipe, it is only the position of the lips that regulates the pitch. The interplay of alphorn and organ is therefore not only a pleasure in terms of sound, but also with their opposite structure, the two instruments complement each other perfectly. The special combination is additionally enriched by the bell-clear voice of Fabienne Romer.
