A passionate hotel manager is biased by the claim of a clairvoyant that he is to blame for the unexplained fire of his legendary grand hotel. In order to free himself from this burden, he tries together with an astute detective inspector to expose a former employee as an arsonist. As a result, he unexpectedly becomes the focus of the investigation himself - and has to face the truth.
