On Mill Day, milling takes place in the old Walser mill, which is driven by a water wheel, while in the garden of the local history museum, a cheerful festival is celebrated, enriched with songs by school children.

At the same time, the exhibition "At the foot of the Magic Mountain – everyday life in Davos around 1924" is opened. 100 years after the publication of Thomas Mann's great novel "The Magic Mountain", a special exhibition will open until April 2025. It shows how the local population experienced the time of tuberculosis cures in Davos between the two world wars, both in the countryside and in the flourishing city of Davos.

From 11:30 a.m., the festival restaurant opens with delicacies from the wood-fired oven. In the background, the old Walser mill rattles and grinds the corn filled in by the miller into hearty bramata. In front of the mill, a cross and a stone slab invite you to try your hand at the arduous business of grinding.
