Monokali Polypunk

In a remote laboratory on the outskirts of a village in Graubünden, an ominous pharmaceutical company develops the substance Monokali under the strictest secrecy – a miracle cure for a 'fairer' world. But the further the research progresses, the bigger the shadow that changes everything becomes. A mysterious figure who seems to want nothing inexorably influences space, dynamics and perception.
How much uniformity can a society withstand? And is Monokali really a solution or perhaps the beginning of a new control regime? In the midst of chemicals, career stress and childhood memories, the courage to not participate grows.

The play MONOKALI POLYPUNK is the first literary collaboration between the two up-and-coming Graubünden authors Gianna Olinda Cadonau and Flurina Badel. In it, they weave village microcosm and global upheavals into a polyphonic and multilingual evening of theatre – hopeless, hopeful, punk.
