ENRICO GUERZONI violoncello
Description
There are musical instruments that can transport us to faraway places and then bring us back to the one closest to us, our Soul.
The handpan and the cello are instruments belonging to different eras and cultures, but they both have the power to create and encourage us in a deep inner quest. The result is an intense and original sound journey, full of rhythm and peace, play and spirituality, rules and improvisation.
The handpan was born under the name Hang, in the year 2000 in Berne.
It is a kind of “melodic percussion”, has a circular shape, and is composed of two domes placed one on top of the other with opposite “bellies”.
Loris Lombardo is a world star on this instrument, regularly playing all over the world from the USA to India.
With Enrico Guerzoni, he is one of today's most appreciated cellists in both the classical and ethnic-jazz spheres.
