NATURAMA Lecture: The Wolf - Book Presentation

The wolf, which was exterminated in our country a long time ago, has returned. On quiet paws, but it always causes loud discussions, as it can be dangerous to farm animals as a powerful predator. Although the wolf is one of the best-studied wild animal species, there is still a considerable need for education. In this lecture, biologist and former park director Heinrich Haller presents his new book, which shows the wolf primarily in the Alpine region and in particular from the perspective of Switzerland. Photos from other parts of the huge distribution area provide impressions of the divergent living conditions. The book texts inform and interpret, illuminate backgrounds and describe the wolf as a diverse, hidden wild animal that is able to trigger considerable resonances in its environment.
