Rarely has a documentary filmmaker from Swiss television attracted as much attention with his stories as Hanspeter Bäni. With his reports, he sparked the controversial debate about a juvenile offender who became known nationwide under the pseudonym "Carlos". He documented the moving fate of the "White Queen", who married a prince in Africa, and accompanied a fraudster up close from his imprisonment to his death. Over a shooting period of 20 years, he also made a film about a mountain farming family that was marked by heavy strokes of fate.

Hanspeter Bäni (*1956), journalist and documentary filmmaker
After a journey of almost four years through Latin America in the 1980s – with longer stays with indigenous peoples in the Amazon region – he founded and managed an import company for South American handicrafts. He also worked as a tour guide and travel organizer for well-known tour operators. From 1990 he worked in the electronic media, initially as a presenter at various private radio stations. In 1997 he switched to television and worked as an editor for Tele M1, TV3 and ZDF in Berlin. In 2000, he joined Swiss television. There he first worked for the political and business magazine "Rundschau", then worked as a video journalist for the programmes "Reporter" and "DOK" until the end of 2021. He has received many awards for his reports. Hanspeter Bäni is married and has a grown-up son. He lives in Habsburg, canton of Aargau.

Röbi Koller (*1957) presenter, author, journalist
Röbi Koller has been known for more than 40 years as a presenter of various radio and TV programs. After his beginnings at Radio 24, he presented at DRS 1, 2 and 3 (now SRF). He made his television debut in the early evening magazine Karussell.
