Schweizer Wandernacht: Nachtpfade der Viamala

The walk follows the historic viaSpluga from Thusis to Andeer, once an important trade route to Italy. Following in the footsteps of the old mule track, the path leads through the Viamala at night.
You start in Thusis on the varied route "Veia Traversina", which runs along the Hinterrhein at the imposing palazzo in Sils i.D., over Ehrenfels Castle and past the impressive Hohe Rätien castle complex. Afterwards, a particularly picturesque section awaits you with a true highlight: the Traversinersteg. This spectacular, almost 60-metre-long suspension bridge has already received several international awards. After reaching the Viamala Gorge Visitor Centre, a descent of 359 steps leads down to the millennia-old whirlpool pots. There you can take a well-deserved break to enjoy the mystical atmosphere with a picnic from your own backpack. Continue via Zillis to Andeer, where a delicious breakfast buffet is served at the Hotel Fravi. At the end of the hike, the Andeer mineral bath opens its doors exclusively - a perfect opportunity to relax and reflect (admission included).
