SIMPLY MAGICAL

When the hunter's boy Max in Carl Maria von Weber's opera "Der Freischütz" casts free bullets at midnight with the sinister journeyman Kaspar in the Wolfsschlucht in order to win his beloved Agathe as his wife in a shooting competition, then things are not right. It is also simply magical when Augustin Hadelich plays the violin. Here, however, no black magic reigns, but a very light, radiant form of mystery. The former child prodigy, who grew up in Italy, has long since matured into an important interpreter who brings the emotional depth to life in Tchaikovsky's highly virtuoso Violin Concerto. The Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen is a partner at eye level for the New York-based German-American under the French conductor Jérémie Rhorer and is dedicated to Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 5 in B flat major, which is reminiscent of Mozart in its grace and esprit.
