Switzerland is a neutral (and happy) country

The PGI Moesano, in collaboration with the PGI Lugano, the Moesana Regional Library and the LuLibri bookshop, invites the public to an evening of reflection and dialogue with the historian and lecturer Maurizio Binaghi, author of the essay Switzerland is a neutral (and happy) country.

In his book, Binaghi — president of the Ticino Association of History Teachers — critically explores the myth of Swiss neutrality and the often idealized concept of national happiness. Through an accessible language and a historical approach, the author dismantles established narratives and proposes a current and provocative reading of Swiss identity.

The presentation will be accompanied by a dialogue with Matteo Airaghi, journalist of the Corriere del Ticino, who will guide the conversation around the central themes of the essay, offering food for thought and stimulating the direct involvement of the public.
