"The Canton of Graubünden as Reflected in the Swiss Film Newsreel"

The Swiss Film Newsreel (SFW) was founded during the Second World War as an instrument of intellectual national defence. Even during the Cold War, it remained true to its thematic orientation for a long time. In 1975, the SFW was discontinued in the midst of a realignment. In his lecture, historian Oliver Schneider will show how the canton of Graubünden was staged in the SFW in the media.

Dr. Felix Rauh, Deputy Director of Memoriav – the Swiss Centre of Excellence for the Preservation of Audiovisual Heritage – will introduce the memobase.ch (memobase.ch/de/start) portal and show how SFW's contributions can be found.
