A large family and their long-established company become entangled in the turmoil of a sinister espionage. Family head Zsa-zsa Korda (Benicio Del Toro) has miraculously survived several plane crashes. Slowly, however, the suspicion seems justified that someone is trying to kill him and is after his big family business. Betrayal and morally gray decisions play the family members off against each other, especially Korda's already strained relationship with his only daughter, the nun Liesl (Mia Threapleton), is put to the test when he embarks on an action-packed mission with her.



Another Wes Anderson film that not only shows his unmistakable visual language with detailed, pastel film sets and weird characters, but also a top-class cast.
