Theaterkomödie "Das Diven Desaster"

St. Moritz, 1941: The president of the "Association for Spiritual National Defence", Elvira Oeschlin, has succeeded in winning over two big stars of Swiss show business for a charity event. In the luxurious Suvretta House in St. Moritz, the film diva Gretli Grieder from Chur and the vocal miracle from the Surselva Claudia Carnevale will perform at a glamorous gala evening. The donations will be used to finance the weekend holidays of the Swiss soldiers, who are supposed to recover from their deployments at the border.
Although Switzerland has so far been spared military attacks, the noble hotel becomes the scene of a merciless battle before the show. Because the two show greats are archrivals and can't stand each other to death. Hotel director Bernhard S. Schwerzenbach has to be meticulous about ensuring that they don't meet each other in person, for heaven's sake. This turns out to be difficult, as each of the two egomaniacs claims the presidential suite for herself as a matter of course. Thus, the suite becomes the setting for a lot of mix-ups, misunderstandings, slamming doors, nervous crises and catastrophes thwarted by a hair's breadth.
The bellboys Franz and Otto, Gretli Grieder's kind-hearted private secretary Monique Stettler and the patient factotum Piero, who not only manages appointments and mixes drinks for Claudia Carnevale, but also looks after her lapdog Oscar, fight on various, changing fronts. Outside, meanwhile, the preparations for the charity event are getting totally out of hand: the orchestra leader locks himself in the toilet, a fire breaks out in the lobby, drunken parachutists jump from the balconies into the pool and Oscar sails through the window. Undeterred, in the midst of the hustle and bustle, gossip columnist Dora Delgado chases the story of her life and doesn't let it stop her even with doors slamming in her face ...

Schwerzenbach (Hoteldirektro), Quirina Lechmann as Claudia Carnevale (opera diva) and Myriam Ludwig-Hilzinger as Gretli Grieder (great film diva).
