Trio Willi Valotti

Description
Trio Willi Valotti - Claudio Gmür - Madlaina Küng The Trio Willi Valotti brings together three outstanding personalities of Swiss folk music in a unique project. Willi Valotti can be described as the most well-known accordionist in the Swiss folk music scene. For around 50 years, he has enriched Swiss folk music with his virtuoso and emotive playing style, as well as with demanding compositions. Always in search of the new, he has left his mark in all his areas of activity. His own interpretations and influences from other styles shape the work of this composer and musician. As an extremely versatile accordionist, he enhances his ensembles with sensitive musicality. Madlaina Küng is a versatile double bassist with a classical background. She completed her Master of Arts in Music Performance at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts under Prof. Božo Paradžik. In addition to her classical work, she is intensely dedicated to folk music and performs in various ensembles. Her involvement in numerous television and radio productions, as well as performances in renowned concert halls like the Royal Albert Hall in London and the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, underline her musical versatility. Claudio Gmür is an accomplished pianist and a solid presence in the Swiss folk music scene. He has accompanied renowned ensembles for many years, such as the Trio Willi Valotti and the Syfrig-Valotti Kapelle. His sensitive, precise piano playing forms the harmonic foundation of the trio. Together, these three musicians create a unique auditory experience that combines tradition with virtuosity. www.valotti.chwww.madlainakueng.ch/ Willi Valotti – accordion, Claudio Gmür – piano, Madlaina Küng – double bass
