Guided hike from Fatschél over Castiel to Calfreisen with comments on the sound installations "Geiss-Wippen,""Altes Eisen," and "Ei(n)s" In the footsteps of sound: Experience cultural history in Schanfigg and immerse yourself in the sound world of the valley. As part of the major project “[tʃlˈfɪk]: Sounding Cultural History in Schanfigg,” various sound installations and objects can be discovered in different villages in Schanfigg during the summer months starting in 2024. The approximately 15 sounding installations make the cultural history of Schanfigg experienceable on both sides of the valley. On Saturday, June 14, 2025, the three stations "Geiss-Wippen,""Altes Eisen," and "Ei(n)s" will be explored along the village path Schanfigg from Fatschél over Castiel to Calfreisen, where one will encounter the saying "The goat is the cow of the poor man" and learn anecdotes about the topic of small livestock in Schanfigg, listen to a dialogue between a sound instrument and a church bell, and learn more about a significant merger in Schanfigg from 2013. Interesting backgrounds on the historical contexts and artistic developments of the installations await as well as the wonderful nature of Schanfigg.
