UNESCO-Welttag des audiovisuellen Erbes: Das pralle Leben eines Touristenortes
Guided tours through the pictures of Fotohaus Heinze at 12:30 & 18:00 with Graziella Borrelli, Petra Hochleitner and Brigitte Aregger.
Description
On Monday, 27 October 2025, the State Archives of the Grisons invite you to guided tours of the photographic collection of Alfred and Kurt Heinze on the occasion of the UNESCO World Day of Audiovisual Heritage.
The photos by Alfred & Kurt Heinze, Lenzerheide, are a window into the past. They show what the village experienced and moved the holiday guest – from the Funi sleigh to the post bus, from the basket full of cervelats to the gala dinner, from the wedding to the christening, from portraits to panoramas.
The pictures come from the Heinze photo shop, which was founded in 1912, and document the transformation of Lenzerheide into a holiday destination over two generations. Benefiting from the tourist boom before the First World War and the breakthrough of winter tourism in the 1950s and 1960s, thousands of photographs were taken that capture the life and development of a spa town in an exemplary way.
During the guided tours of the Graubünden State Archives, visitors get a direct insight into this fascinating treasure trove of images.
