Walpurgis Night at Sargans Castle

On the night of May 1st, witches fly in on broomsticks, pitchforks and goats. They celebrate Walpurgis Night!
Witches' dances are also known from the Sarganserland world of legends, for example from Alp Gafarra in the Weisstannental. Sargans Castle is now also being bewitched - of course by the Schlosshäxä, who have been active for 30 years.
On Wednesday, April 30, is Walpurgis Night: a festival for the whole family Rittersaal. Children's program from 3 to 5 p.m. From 7 p.m. we dance into May with the Bärglergruess family band. The Schlosshäxä prepare a magic potion and tell witch legends. We learn the stories behind the unmistakable masks of the individual Schlosshäxä.
