Young Orchestra of the Grisons – a classical concert full of history

In the 15 years of its existence, the JOG has worked with actors and singers, travelled through the centuries, as well as to London, Berlin, Paris and Bad Homburg. Musically, we got to know a lot between baroque and modern, accompanied films, incorporated humor and never forgot the Italian cradle of our classical music. So it is obvious that the first program in 2025 will be a historic one. Melodies delight the ear and the heart. They are sung in the smallest form, alone without accompaniment. The second voice was added later, and the accompaniment, the bass, a trio complemented the middle voice. Depending on the client, employer, hall size... the ensembles also became larger and larger, up to chamber orchestras or symphony orchestras. The desire for melody remained. And so music history has experienced again and again that, in addition to the orchestral sound, upper voices were added to provide these melodies.
