zezzaneera: LENN HOLZ in Ilanz

As a material, wood accompanies us in everyday life like no other: tables, chairs, matches, cutting boards, cooking ladles, but also entire houses or logs and pellets are part of it.
In the zezzaneera - Room for Art and Culture Ilanz - the next exhibition will be dedicated to the popular raw material wood. In addition to art, represented by photography and wooden design in the form of wooden stools, the kiosk
woody everyday objects and culinary wooden specialties are offered for sale.

The zezzaneera is dedicating a solo exhibition to the Swiss architect and photographer Sandro Livio Straube (*1992). With his camera, Straube captures visually effective details off the beaten track: a lonely tree, a crooked wooden roof or an enchanted view of a young forest. The black-and-white and coloured images always radiate a calm, characteristic of the Val Lumnezia in the Surselva region.

In the exhibition LENN HOLZ, Strube's photographs meet beautifully crafted, contemporary wooden stools by industrial designers Sebastian Marbacher and Fabio Rutishauser, woodworker Thomas Florin, Atelier Lomann, Arvenholz furniture manufacturer raïna, Schreinerei Spescha AG and Stuhl- und Tischmanufaktur Horgenglarus. A dialogue ensues.
