Alp Garfiun

Description
From Klosters Platz, the paved road leads steeply up to Selfranga. After overcoming this first climb, it continues more leisurely on a refreshing path through the Ronenwald. Upon reaching the forest edge, a magnificent scenery opens up: the wide valley floor with its lush meadows lies before us, and behind it, the Silvretta Glacier rises into the sky. Those who start the route after work will find the Silvrettahorn even more majestic in the evening sun.
Now a rapid descent awaits us down to Schwäderloch, and we follow the still young Landquart river upstream on gently ascending trails and forest paths. At Novai, we cross the valley side over the Vereinabach. The cool touch of the water refreshes us for the last part to Alp Garfiun, where a stop is highly recommended. The great descent over Pardels back to Klosters perfectly rounds off this impressive route.
The route can be ridden very early in the year. It is particularly impressive in spring because there is still a lot of snow at higher elevations.
Hidden Gem
A stop at Alp Garfiun is highly worthwhile.
Safety Note
In the Davos Klosters destination, there are many managed alp farms with livestock. Therefore, it is to be expected to encounter animals everywhere. We ask for appropriate consideration and also to ride through the terrain at a suitable pace.
