The long variant of the Alpöhi trail run on the Pizol is, contrary to the association that the name may arouse, not a tour for beginners. Due to the numerous meters of altitude that are covered on the way, it places high demands on the condition. The start is at over 2,200 m above sea level.M, which is where the circular trail finally leads back. On the way you first meet the Wangsersee, before you leave the usually more frequented area of the popular hiking area Pizol. On the way, great views of the neighbouring Tamina Valley await you before returning to the starting point via Pardiel and Zanuzegg on a strenuous ascent. As a reward, the return trip with the chair and gondola lift back to the valley awaits. This route can also be planned from Wangs. Take the gondola lift and chairlift to the Pizolhütte and from there in the direction of Wangsersee. Or on the original track in the opposite direction.

At Pizol, trail running workshops take place on various dates. Accompanied by certified running guides and professional athletes.

The technical requirements of the trails are medium, so attentive running is required in places.

Normal trail running equipment (trail shoes recommended everywhere). Take enough food and drink with you (self-catering principle). Maps and natel with good reception.

From Bad Ragaz we take the gondola lift to Pardiel and then take the chairlift to Laufböden. Here we walk along the Höhenweg towards Pizolhütte to the Wangsersee. After the Wangsersee turn left towards Alp Lasa. We follow this trail to Alp Lasa and then the signs for Bettlerweg. First on a forest road and then on a great trail we walk towards running floors. Now it's time to recharge the energy reserves. These are also urgently needed for the final and continuous ascent via Zanuzegg to Laufböden. The ascent takes place on a simple forest path and will also challenge experienced runners in terms of strength reserves. Arriving in Laufböden we take the chairlift to Pardiel and the gondola lift to Bad Ragaz.
