Description
The outdoor fitness trails in the Heidiland holiday region comprise more than 30 uniformly signposted running paths from a total of 10 stations and thus form one of the largest open-air fitness parks in the Alpine region. The Betlis Trail is one of three running trails around Weesen station.
The starting point for this 10.1 km long trail is the info point of the station Weesen at the Schifflände (423 m above sea level.M). For the first few meters, the Betlis Trail runs along the lake. In the middle of the village at Autis (428), the running track turns onto the sidewalk of the main road in the direction of Amden. At the exit of the village, the trail turns right onto the paved road that leads to Betlis and always offers a magnificent view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. Special mention should be made of the two spectacular tunnels carved into the rock (if necessary, take reflectors with you). At the lido Strahlegg (425) you continue on a hiking trail, which first leads along the lake shore and then up to the clearing Höfli (458). Again on a paved side road, with a wonderful view of the lake and the Flumserberge, we continue to Vorderbetlis (531), where you can reach the imposing Seerenbach Falls. Via Hinterbetlis, the path leads through a partly dense forest back to höfli back to the lake. From here it goes on the same route back to the Infopoint in Weesen.
