Circular hike Horn (Ibex Path)
The circular hike from Weisstannen up to the Horn is also called the Ibex Path. Here, the first ibexes were reintroduced in Switzerland in 1911.
Details
Description
The hike over the Horn is the classic route in the Weisstannental. From the Alp Unterlavtina, it goes quite steeply uphill. Alpine anemones accompany us in late spring to the Rappenloch, where the first ibexes were reintroduced nationwide in Switzerland in 1911. From the Horn, we enjoy the view into the valley and to the peaks of the Graue Hörner with the Pizol. It continues comfortably on the flat terrain of Valtnov to the alp of the same name. Then the alpine trail leads us through rock walls back into the valley.
Hidden Gem
During the circular hike, we watch out for wildlife such as ibexes.
