Description

On a road with little traffic, we hike down to the Rhine, where we hike along the river on the edge of the cross-country ski trail, the sound of the water accompanies us. It's idyllic here!  In Disla we walk past old, lovingly maintained farmhouses and a mill with water wheel towards St. Luzius Chapel, which is unique in its octagonal shape.

Right next to it is the Ustria Fravia. (to german: blacksmith). The museum-like dining room is reminiscent of bygone times. When the weather is nice, we prefer to have the coffee served outside. On the way we reach a sparse forest above the cantonal road, where we are not disturbed by the sounds of the road. After the fraction Faltscharidas we make a cultural stop at the St. Plazidus Church, after which our round ends soon at the train station Disentis.

Geheimtipp

The Ustria Fravia is a cozy place for a fondue or for a raclette (by appointment) Tel. +41(0)81 947 47 36

Quarter and side roads are mostly snow-free.

Directions

We follow the road to Cavardiras. Before the bridge in Brulf we turn left until we reach the village. We walk towards the chapel, which can be seen from afar. After visiting the restaurant, take the same path back about 200 meters. Here we find the signpost that points left up to the main road. After crossing the road, the trail leads via Faltscharidas back to Disentis
