Details
Description
Starting from Walenstadt station, you ride through the small town and then on the very spacious bike path over Tscherlach to Berschis. In the village center, the path splits and you follow the signpost to Kurhaus Sennis. From here, the steady ascent begins on a solid, small mountain road. Already after a few hundred meters, you catch a glimpse of the St. Georg's Chapel on the right, a true work of art.
After 14 curves, the steepest section is behind. About 100 meters of altitude remain, winding along the rock in a very pleasant incline towards the day's destination.
At Hotel Kurhaus Sennis, you find refreshment and nourishment as well as peace, relaxation, and new energy. Watch out for golden eagles, ibex, and chamois.
The return journey follows the same path downhill towards Walenstadt and the deep blue Lake Walen.
