Description

The route goes from Mels to Plons and from there over the tranquil but surprisingly beautiful Hinterberg to Geisswiesen. On this varied section, you will find both colorful dry meadows and wet meadows. From Geisswiesen, follow the road to Schwarzenberg up to the alpine pasture of Alp Kohlschlag, where the popular alpine tavern is located.

From Alp Kohlschlag, you ride briefly towards Hintersäss, then turn left after a few meters and cross the romantic Cholschlagerbach. Following the signposts, the path now descends to Chapfensee. The nature reserve is crossed on wide gravel paths, with several peat bogs to admire on both sides. At the rear dam, you have the opportunity to park your bike and explore the unique Chapfensee on foot.

Return to the valley via the easy-to-ride Chapfensee road and Vermölerstrasse.
