Vals 3000 plus: The Faltschonhorn is the three-thousander hiking peak above the village and the easiest to climb in the Valser valley. Located in the middle of the ridge that separates the Valser valley from Val Lumnezia, it towers above the sunny meadows of the Leiser hay mountains.

The sheep herd with guard dogs is on the Vriner side. The Faltschonhorn is accessible without restriction from the Valser side. For information:
The Patnaul hiking trail (connection Vrin – Vals) is closed from July 4 to September 2025.
