Familienfreundliche Wanderung zur Ochsenalp Arosa

This family-friendly hike focuses on the impressive natural diversity around Arosa. The route from Arosa train station via the Langwies viewpoint to Ochsenalp is particularly suitable for families with prams. On the way, there are always beautiful views of the Schanfigg and the Chur Rhine Valley.

The starting point is right next to Arosa train station. From there, the path leads past the Obersee and the rope park into the Schafwald. The pleasant forest path offers plenty of shade and invites you to take a leisurely walk.

With a short 5-minute detour, you can also visit the Langwieser Aussicht viewpoint - a worthwhile stop with a magnificent panorama.

Afterwards, the route continues through the beautiful forests of Arosa, again and again with unobstructed views of the valley. The destination of the hike is the cozy Ochsenalp, where you can relax with a refreshment.

The way back to the village is the same way.

The path is also passable with the JST wheelchair. Leave the pram at the roadside for the detour to the Langwieser aussicht. The way there is provided with many roots and stones

The hike starts directly at Arosa train station. From here you follow the path along the Obersee and pass the Arosa rope park before climbing slightly into the shady sheep forest. The wide forest path is pleasant to walk on and offers small clearings with beautiful views along the way.

After about 20 minutes, you have the opportunity to make a short detour (approx. 5 minutes) to the Langwieser Aussicht - a worthwhile vantage point with an impressive view of the valley. The junction is not suitable for prams, as the path has roots and stones. The stroller can be left at the side of the path.

Back on the main path, the hike continues through the varied forest landscape of Arosa, with occasional views of the Schanfigg. After about 1.5 hours you will reach the Ochsenalp, where a cosy stop is possible.

The way back is the same way back to Arosa.
