GPS Furcletta/Welschtobel Tour (oua_15885531_c57948b_profile)

Challenging but amazing round trip with a very large single trail component. The highlight is the 14km long single trail from Furcletta to Arosa.

Description

The tour starts at the Rothorn valley station. From there, you can comfortably take the Rothornbahn 1 and 2 to the Rothorn summit. Now it's time to set off on the technically demanding single trail towards Alp Sanaspans. Shortly before you reach the alp, the hiking trail turns left towards Culmet/Furcletta. From this point on, it is a good 1.5 hours of carrying and pushing the bike. The highest point is reached on the Culmet, the view rewards the sweaty ascent. From there it goes down a few more meters in altitude until the last ascent to the Furceletta is due. This is conquered after about 20 minutes and the first stage destination is reached. In front of you is the dreamlike Welschtobel. 14km of flowing, partly gravelly single trail is waiting for you. The next stage destination is reached at the Isla in Arosa. From there, it's a leisurely ride on the road up to Arosa and to the valley station of the Hörnli Express. The train takes you comfortably to the Hörnli. From there, you can either take the Urdenbahn cable car across the Urdental or take the bike on the hiking trail to the Urdenfürggli. From Urdenfürggli, the first step is on the Bike Attack route (No. 611). After the Mottahütte, turn right onto the steep, challenging single trail towards Parpan and Canols. Alternatively, you can also get to Canols via Scharmoin and Bikepark.
