Heidiland Hiking Tour 1: Weesen - Amden

Starting at Weesen station, cross the LinthKanal and then continue on the right towards Walensee. On the shore of Weesen you overlook the whole Walensee and are welcomed by a Mediterranean flair. After crossing the town, it's uphill towards Matt. In between, it is worth taking a look at the lake, which is always deeper down in the valley. You continue to climb and to the right rises the Mattstock massif. At Oberchäseren you are directly behind the Mattstock. Opposite is the Speer, which is the highest Nagelfluhberg in Europe at 1,950 m.M.a.s.l. In the Alpwirtschaft you can fortify yourself here in idyllic surroundings with drinks and delicious dishes. Follow the hiking trail to Hinter Höhi. Now it is not far to Niederschlag, where you can float comfortably with the gondola lift, with the best panoramic view in the village of Amden.
