Heidiland Hiking Tour 5: Weisstannen - Pizol

First you walk along the right side of the Seez a bit out of the valley, before you turn right through a densely wooded section to Alp Unter Precht. From there you have a wonderful view of the Weisstannental and the Foostock behind it, which is part of the Glarus main overthrust and belongs to the UNESCO World Heritage Tectonic Arena Sardona. Over a magnificent alpine landscape we reach Ober Precht and the idyllic Alp Gamidaur. Here, to our right, the wildness of the Pizol area becomes apparent for the first time, while on the other side the horizon reaches back to the Churfirsten. At the Alp Unter Vermii there is another ascent, the forest goes back and you dive deeper and deeper into the Pizol area. In Furt at the middle station of the Pizolbahnen from Wangs you have reached the day's destination.

During the Heidiland Hiking Tour you will spend the night in the Berggasthaus Furt this evening. The mountain inn is located in the middle of the Pizol hiking area and is the right place for relaxation after a strict day of hiking.
