Heidi's Long Trail is a Best Of of the Bad Ragazer side of the Pizol, tailored for trail runners. First, it goes on the Heidipfad (popular with families hiking trail) through a varied landscape, past a mountain hut on Schwarzbüel, which could easily come from a Heidi movie. A postcard motif is also the Vilterser Seeli, which is just as much on the route as the higher Wangsersee.

Accompanied by a breathtaking panorama, it continues flat at the highest point on a plateau before heading back towards the valley at laufböden. At the Sunntigweid reservoir, beach chairs invite you to a short break, then it goes via Obersäss back to the starting point on Pardiel, from where you can take the gondola back to the valley.

At Pizol, trail running workshops take place on various dates. Accompanied by certified running guides and professional athletes.

The highest point of the tour is located at over 2,200 m above sea level.M., so you have to be prepared for rapid temperature and weather changes.

Normal trail running equipment (trail shoes recommended everywhere). Take enough food and drink with you (self-catering principle). Maps and natel with good reception.

The gondola lift takes you from Bad Ragaz to the starting point in Pardiel. Here we walk via Obersäss and the Schwarzbüel viewpoint to the Schwarzbüelhütte. From here it goes left to the Vilterser Obersäss. We reach this intermediate destination via a varied trail through forest, moor and rough vegetation. Uphill we walk to the Vilterser Seeli and at the end of the lake towards Pizolhütte. We follow this mountain path to the Wangsersee. The lake invites you to cool off before you go on the high-altitude path to the Laufbodenstübli. Here the highest point of our tour is reached with 2'223 m above sea level and it goes over a long forest path steadily downhill to above Pardiel. As soon as we see the first information boards in Edelweiss form, we follow them uphill until we arrive at The Suntigweidsee. Here we can relax in the beach chairs and enjoy the great panorama. If you no longer want to walk the additional loop over Suntigweidsee, go directly to Pardiel. Finally, it goes with a short descent via Obersäss back to Pardiel. With the gondola lift we reach Bad Ragaz.
