Description

The hike from Bargis to the Segnes hut is an impressive mountain route with breathtaking views of the Tectonic Arena Sardona, a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site. The starting point is Bargis at 1,550 m above sea level, which is easily accessible by bus from Flims. The path leads through the idyllic high valley of Bargis and passes through varied alpine landscapes with blooming mountain meadows and striking limestone rocks. The trail steadily ascends past the Alp Rusna and continues up to the Fuorcla Raschaglius at around 2,600 meters. From there it goes on to the Cassons ridge at about 2,675 m above sea level, where a spectacular view of the Segnesboden and the famous Martinsloch opens up. Shortly afterwards you reach the Segnes hut, from where you can conveniently take the gondola back to Flims. Surefootedness and good physical condition are required.
