Description
In Surrein (Sedrun) the ascent to the "Stavel sut il Tgom" begins and we hike straight on the wide summit to the alpine hut "Stavel Sisum", from where we can overlook the whole valley. On the east side of the Piz Nual and below the Fil d'Alpetta, a hiking trail now leads into Val Nalps. In the distance, the Nalps reservoir is already glittering. The path is partly a bit airy and it also has places that are secured with a rope. Soon, however, the rocky sections are behind us and we relax over alps and pastures down to the lake. Over the wall crown we reach the other side of the valley.
After a bend on the paved road, we reach the junction for Cuolm Cavorgia. The entrance is a bit hidden, but immediately afterwards we meet the access road to Alp Cuolm Nalps. We overlook the valley again, from the Nalps pass to the Piz Gannaretsch, before we quickly gain altitude on a hiking trail. The following high-altitude trail, which leads to Cuolm Cavorgia, can be described as a fine dessert. Via Puoza Gronda and Plaun Verd we hike with a view of the snow-capped Oberalpstock and the Tödi between Alpenblumen and Erika. On the descent we pass the alpine hut Cuolm Cavorgia and a little deeper, at the point 1945, we turn left into Val Nalps to Pardatsch da Vaccas. From the Maiensässen we hike on forest paths and side roads back to our starting point.
